This privacy notice is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Datenschutz-Anpassungsgesetz 2018. It informs according to Art. 13 about kind, amount and purpose of collected personal data on our websites.
Please note that everyone can download FreeBeeGee and run a server at any domain without affiliation with us. This privacy notice soley covers freebeegee.org and freebeegee.com, called our websites in this privacy policy.
Our websites are provided by the entity mentioned in the imprint below.
With each access to our site, your browser automatically transmits: Name of the file, browser and browser-version, operating system, referrer URL (the site that brought you to us) and your IP address. This information is stored together with date, time, success and amount of transferred data because of legitimate interests in server logfiles. We keep those logfiles up to two weeks to maintain operation of our websites, for security measurements, for analyzing technical problems and to clarify legal issues.
We also use those logfiles for statistical purposes and reach measurement, to be able to optimize content, presentation and our infrastructure. For this, we anonymize your IP address by setting the last byte to 0 (zero), so we can't identify you individually. We keep anonymized statistics for up to 24 months.
When you contact us via email, we store your provided information to be able to answer your request and to clarify further questions.
We do not use cookies or embed trackers or other third party services.
This site hosts an installation of FreeBeeGee which soley runs in Demo Mode. If you use it, no game data will be stored or sent to our web server beyond what is stated above (see Access Data). All technically needed game data is stored in your browser's local storage. It depends on your browser settings if and how long it stores this information. You can erase that data at any time using your browser's clear site data feature.
On our websites we provide links to GitHub for easy access to binary and source code distributions of FreeBeeGee. We also provide links to PayPal to enable you to support for us finanically. It is not necessary to follow these optional links to use our websites.
We have to inform you that these services are provided by companies located outsite the EU. No personal data is shared between us and them on our websites. As soon as you enter their website, their respective privacy policy applies.
Personal data is stored according to Art. 17 and 18 GDPR only as long as necessary, for the performance of a contract, or we are obliged by other laws to do so. We delete or anonymize data as soon as it no longer required. According to § 132 Abs. 1 BAO we have to keep general business documents for 7 years in Austria.
Our hosting partner provides server infrastructure, calculating power, memory, security and maintenance for our websites. All data for our websites is stored on servers in the European Union (EU) / European Economic Area (EEA). According to Art. 28 GDPR, our hosting partner agrees to also fulfill the GDRP.
To secure your data, our websites are accessibly only via SSL/HTTPS. Our Mail-Servers also provide encrypted transmission via SSL/TLS.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection of use of your data (Art. 15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 GDPR). We can only comply to the right of erasure if no other legal requirements require us to store the data for a longer time.
If we receive such a request, we are required by law to make sure the sender is actually the owner of the requested data. Please provide a proof of identity and a proof of ownership with each such request. We reserve the right not to answer requests with insufficient proof and delete the request in accordance with our data minimization rule.

According to Art. 77 GDRP you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Datenschutzbehörde.
